Fun, Food & Fashion!
On October 15, we welcomed a record 250 attendees to our tenth annual “Fashion to Fund the Future”—a fashion show and luncheon held at the Desmond Great Valley Hotel. The event raised $13,000 in support of our Elizabeth (Betsy) B. Stull Education Fund, which provides our resident women and children with the financial support they need to enroll in educational and vocational training programs and participate in after school enrichment programs and summer camps. We were honored to have Betsy Stull attend the event.
The 2007 “Fashion to Fund the Future” featured a beautiful array of clothing from Paoli’s VanCleve Collection and Malvern’s Englund’s Apparel for Men, kids clothesline and Occasions Boutique. Heartfelt thanks go out to Shannon Nutter-Wiersbitzky, who chaired the event, Deborah VanCleve Phelps who provided the women’s fashions and the lively fashion commentary, the VanCleve staff for their support and Desmond Chef Tom Macrina, who provided a wonderful lunch. We also thank our volunteer models Claudia Arango, Irene Arvaniti, Alicia Dellario, Lindsay Gal, Kathleen Herbster, Wendy Lasser, Mike McLelland, Piper Reece and Ryan Wiersbitzky, who enthusiastically donated their time for the event.
