Dedicated to improving the lives of homeless women and children

Our Mission

To provide housing and supportive services to homeless women who want to improve their lives and become self-sufficient.

Our Vision

To expand our continuum of services to provide our program graduates and women throughout our community with the housing and educational resources they need to sustain long-term economic independence.

News

To continue our mission of providing housing and supportive services to homeless women and mothers with children we are proud to announce our newest program to compliment our existing services – Supportive Housing Program (SHP).

The goal of SHP is to assist women and mothers with children in the Chester County area that are on the cusp of homelessness due to financial stresses of day to day living costs. With today’s economy, affordable housing is becoming even more limited. Through SHP, we will provide financial assistance, supportive case management guidance and assistance in accessing county and government resources.

Through the assistance of SHP women will be able to reach financial stability and increase their earnings through education so they will never have to face the possibility of homelessness.

Home of the Sparrow is extremely honored to announce the receipt of a generous grant award from the WOMEN’S WAY’s Community Women’s Fund.

During the Spring 2008 cycle, over 70 agencies applied for this funding and Home of the Sparrow was one of only 12 award recipients.

Women’s Way is the country’s oldest and largest women’s funding federation. Their mission is to raise money and public awareness to fight for and achieve women’s equality, safety, self-sufficiency and reproductive freedom through women-centered funding, advocacy and training.

We are proud to have the support of such an outstanding organization!
