GuideStar Platinum Participant

Our Financials, Transparency and Accountability

Home of the Sparrow is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and we are proud of our financials. We exist on nearly 100% philanthropy. A very small portion of our income is generated through program fees. These are set on a sliding scale for program participants who are able to help cover the costs of living in our Pre-Senior Bridge Housing Facilities. We are supported by individuals (33%), grantmakers (33%), and fundraising events (5%). Approximately 11% of our funding comes from government sources (primarily Chester County). 82% of the funds raised are used for client programs and services. In addition, 100% of our Board of Directors makes an annual gift to our mission.

Transparency

We honor the trust and generosity of our donors with the highest level of transparency. All of our financials are also published on GuideStar USA, Inc., a national information service that reports on over 2.5 million non-profit organizations. We are proud of our GuideStar Platinum status and encourage you to visit Home of the Sparrow’s GuideStar profile.
