The story of Michelle, our Chief Executive Officer, is a true inspiration. Thirty years ago, she started at First National Bank of Chester County as a bank teller and worked her way up to the role of Executive Vice President of Business Banking. There was a time, in her Sweet Briar College days, when she wanted to become a doctor and to that end got her degree in Biochemistry. However, once she started working at First National, she caught the banking bug and never left the financial world until joining Home of the Sparrow as Chief Executive Officer in 2016
Her favorite things to do
With her German born parents, Michelle was lucky to have spent many happy times travelling throughout Europe. Travel and learning about new people and places is still a passion and great source of joy for her. She loves to spend time with her family and friends. You can always talk wine and food with her. On a rainy Saturday, you will most likely find her in the company of a British murder mystery. When the sun comes back out, she is probably puttering in the garden.
Her Qualification
Michelle has a banking degree from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. She received public recognition for her leadership with the March of Dimes Ellen Ann Roberts Excellence in Business Award. Michelle’s wealth of knowledge, financial acumen and leadership experience puts Home of the Sparrow in an outstanding position to grow. Her ultimate goal is to end homelessness for women and children in Chester County.
